Rent Support Center Groningen provides legal advice, mediation and information free of charge to all tenants and landlords. All residents in the municipality of Groningen can come to the Support Center with any queries and issues concerning rental. Examples include excessive rents, unclear ‘all-in’ rents, excessive service costs or incorrect mediation costs.
The aim of the Support Center is to aid the advancement of the rental sector in the municipality of Groningen. The Rent Support Center Groningen Foundation is independent and is subsidised by the municipality of Groningen. The Support Center is staffed by volunteers and students from the RUG and Hanzehogeschool who have a thorough knowledge of rental law.
